Proverbs 2

Proverbs Chapter 2

 We Win

We live in an age of crumbling values. People are feeling the need of security. Natural defences are breaking down. Our environment is crumbling all around us.

Yet in all this Wisdom still cries out such encouraging words. Chapter 2 of Proverbs shows how the Lord stores up wisdom for His own.

It reminds us that He is a shield to those who walk uprightly and how He guards the path of justice and preserves the way of His saints. Is it any wonder He tells us to seek after Wisdom?

The Bible teaches us in Romans 5:17 that in Christ we reign as kings in life. We belong to a kingdom that cannot fall, fail or be-shaken. No matter what the weapon, we win!

You and I can experience that truth first hand. But you have to prepare yourself for it. You have to be willing to fight for it.

God wants you and I to take a stand against the devil that had been breathing down our necks. There is no greater feeling of exhilaration than the moment you become aware that you have won. It's also a time of great spiritual danger because that's the time we often let our guard down.

You cannot afford to take a spiritual holiday. You can't relax for a moment. Satn exercises very effective counter attacks. People get saved, healed in meetings but forget to carry on in the new dimension of life and health that God has given them. Instead they step back into the same old unbelieving life style that made them vulnerable in the first place.

That is why I believe it is important that we know how to win, even against seemingly overwhelming odds; that we embrace Wisdom as our sister and Understanding as our closest friend

Colossians 2:18 Let no one keep defrauding you of your prize by delighting in self-abasement and the worship of angels.

Don't be side tacked from the message of the Cross by any other teaching.

Self made religion doesn't work.

 1. Continue to live in the will of God.

2. Believe God's Word will work for us.

3. Be specific with God.

4. Be tenacious with God.
