Proverbs Ch 12

Well Done

Proverbs 12:24 The hand of the diligent shall bear rule:
but the slothful shall be under tribute.
Pride in a job well done is the one kind of pride God allows you to have. Nothing brings more satisfaction than doing quality worth than knowing you've done the very best you can.

What is a diligent man?
Diligence requires discipline. A diligent man is a one step at a time man.Jesus was a diligent man. He knew He was the instrument chosen to usher in God's Kingdom here on earth. He set His face like flint and refused to move away from His ordained purpose.

God has a purpose and a plan for your life.
Your greatness will not come simply because you are talented I have heard sportsman say so many times that the more they practise the more natural their ability appears to be. Your greatness will not come simply because you have ability, It will come from consistently applying what you know with honesty and integrity.

A diligent man is one who is steady in application to business.
They keep pressing toward the goal or the prize. They direct their energies into what is undertaken. They attend to the details, so small stuff doesn't become big stuff, and that diligence brings increase.
See a man diligent in his business?
He shall stand before kings. Proverbs 22:29

1 Thessalonians 3:72 And the Lord make you to increase and abound in
love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you:

Proverbs 72:24 The hand of the diligent shall bear rule:
but the slothful shall be under tribute.
A righteous man is a diligent man. As in every area of our lives, Jesus is our example. In every situation and circumstance we do well if we filter our responses to what Jesus would do about it, what He would see in it, and what He would say about it.

Jesus is a great example of diligence.
Every morning He arose early and went to a place where He could be alone and prayed He had only one aim in life, and that was to be about His Father's business.

Diligence in prayer is one of the requirements needed in seeking His face and hearing his voice.
Set yourself up for victorious living by doing what you know pleases Him.
He said If we are willing to diligently listen to Him, his promise to us is that we will eat what is good (the Living Bread), and give ourselves permission to allow our souls to delight in its abundance.

Be willing to set your affections on things above. Far above the daily grind many call living.
In this way he has given us the very great and precious gifts He promised so that by means of these gifts, (l call them as a means of grace) you may escape from the destructive lust that is in the worth, and may come to share the divine nature. For this very reason do your best to add goodness to your faith; to your goodness add knowledge; to your knowledge add self-control; to your self-control add endurance; to your endurance add godliness; to your godliness add Christian affection; and to your Christian affection add love.
These are the qualities you need, and if you have them in abundance, they will make you active and effective in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
2 Peter 1.4-8
Just two little asides that may keep us on the right track.

Be diligent about the right things.
Daniel was diligent in all he did; and he stood before princes.Martha was diligent also; and she ended up in the kitchen.
Read Philippians 3.13-14 again and ask yourself; what will I set affections on today?

1 Thessalonians 3:12 And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love
one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you:
