Proverbs Ch 15
Proverbs 15:6 In the house of the righteous is much treasure:
but in the revenues of the wicked is trouble.
When you hear the word 'treasure’ what readily comes into your mind?
For many it means money. Worldly riches and nothing else.
The word treasure in the Hebrew language means much more than wealth as many know it. It comes from a word that means to hoard, lay up, riches, strength and treasure. Riches, strength and treasure. All of these are laid up stored up for God's people. In some cases they have been laid up for years simply because they have never been asked for. Asking is still the rule of the Kingdom of God. Ask, and it shall be given unto you. Seek and you shall find. Knock and the door shall be opened unto you by the Father Himself.
God wants to prosper you and supply all of your needs. Salvation has within it the provision of wealth. God is no respecter of persons. He will save anyone who calls on the name of Christ. Treasure as God defines the principle means health wealth and completeness. His Word declares
Those things will be found in the house of the righteous. Not only that, He promises to deliver the righteous from trouble. Note He didn't say they wouldn’t have trouble. Trouble, like sorrow visits every home, but He will deliver them from it.
God is no respecter of persons but He is the respecter of principles. He honours those who honour Him. If you give God what He wants, He will give you what you need. If you want what the Father has, do what the Father wants. He loves, respects and honours His principles.
His Righteousness Releases.
All that Heaven has for you is released by faith in the self-same way. Every action, every word we speak activates one of God's laws. This is true both in the natural and spiritual word. The righteous shall prosper. Much treasure is found in their house. "l wiII give peace in this house saith the Lord." When the peace of God is in the heart and in the house then there is a treasure that money can't buy. All the fruit of the Spirit is found in the house thereby bringing an enrichment that money
cannot buy. Its only source is God and He's not selling it.
When I saw the word laid up, (treasure set aside) 2 Timothy 4:8 came readily to mind - Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord the righteous judge, shall give me at that day, and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
